Timber Trestles with the uprights of squared wood timbers instead of round pilings were built in a wide variety of situations by railroads everywhere. The design and materials permit much taller structures than are allowed with pilings while at the same time adapting to all other trestle requirements.

There is nothing that improves the scenic effect of a model railroad layout more than a trestle, either crossing some deep ravine or a wide canyon. The lacy effect of the cross-bracing seems to add to the romantic impact of the rugged scenery and make it more realistic. Trestles should be used wherever possible.

This Tall curved Timber Trestle #0754 is in N scale. The HO scale version of this kit is #0302. The instructions are complete with Tie Templates for a straight Trestle or for your choice of ten different radius curvatures. This is a simple but interesting structure to build.
