Our Stockyard kit (#0400), the M.E. Nelson Livestock Commission Co. is a combination of U.P and A., T & SF prototype blueprints and a 1959 Model Railroad Magazine article written by Joe Kunzelmann. The kit is a basic HO replica of trackside Livestock holding yards across the United States.

The kit is of all wood material with many details, templates and isometric drawings to ease the modeler with its construction. Included are plastic pulleys for hoisting the chute gates and four metal counterweights designed especially for this kit. The Office-Scale House has a corrugated aluminum roof while the Cattle Sheds are covered with wooden board-on-board material. This kit when completed covers an area of approximately 7-3/8 x 12-3/4 inches and will be the perfect holding yard for our HO Cattle (#1404).

This kit was originally introduced by Campbell Scale Models back in August 1976.
