The Tuckahoe Valley Produce Shed's original model was designed by Mr. Art Burges of Yorba Linda, California. His model was awarded first place in structures at the Pacific Coast Region Convention in Palo Alto, California in 1970 and Best of Show at the Pacific Coast Region Mini-Convention in Goleta, California in 1971. The structure has no prototype but is a composite of several different buildings aided by Art's good imagination.
The Produce Shed can be adapted to many uses on any model railroad pike. Constructed of precision cut wood parts, the upstairs office section is of board and bat Siding with a "tar paper" roof while the open shed portion has a roof of Profile Shingles and the hanging porch roof is of Corrugated Aluminum. Plastic windows are included in the kit along with plastic skylights for the office roof which were designed especially for this building. Compliment your structure with several "picking" ladders which you can build from the material furnished using our easy-to-follow templates and instructions. The completed model measures about 4 x 16 inches.
This fine HO kit includes wooden barrels and materials for boxes and orchard ladders. The instructions are explicit and alternate construction methods offered to make the structure versatile in its location.
