The West's oldest covered bridges, as well as nine out of ten of those built in the 20th century, stand as a tribute to the designer, William Howe. No better type of housed truss span has ever been built. It is because of the extreme popularity of this type of bridge that we have used it as the prototype for our kit. This model is a covered version of our Howe Truss Bridge with modifications necessary to adapt it to being housed.

The bolt plates, nut-washers, tension plates, truss and tie rods are the same as those in the Howe Truss Kit. Step-by-step instructions and full size template sheet simplify construction. Special wood for siding is grooved in panels to simulate individual planking. Also provided are precision cut bridge ties. Ruled cards and Profile Shingles are included for the most realistic roof available in model building. The finished bridge measures 14-21/32 inches long by 3-1/4 inches wide.
