#0248, Wood Barrels Red in N scale: These barrels are made from precision-turned hardwood and are dyed red, with raised trim and barrel bands. 12 per bag in N scale.

Note: To add realism you could paint the barrel bands a rusty color plus add a bit of weathering. Red N Scale barrels in a HO scale layout could signify a barrel of dangerous nitroglycerin, used in mining. Use your imagination.

#249, Wood Barrels Red in HO scale: These barrels are made from precision-turned hardwood and are dyed red, with raised trim and barrel bands. These are the same barrels found in our HO bridge and trestle kits. 12 per bag in HO scale.

Note: Each HO barrel is approximately .466 (15/32) inch tall by .316 (21/64) inch at its widest diameter. These barrels are cut on a lathe so slight size variations are expected.

#793, Decomposed Granite Ballast: This decomposed granite ballast can be used as a track base and other locations throughout your layout. It's made from crushed walnut shells and its color is naturally brown to light brown. As a natural organic item, this product can be dyed to any color to match your layout needs. Comes in a 7 oz. bag

#795, Coal Load HO scale: During the depression people would go down to the tracks to pick up coal that might have fallen off passing trains to use in their furnace or fireplace. Put a small pile out behind the house and around the base of the coaling station and in the tenders. Our "Coal Load" can be used as ground cover around tracks, loads for coal tenders, gondolas and other purposes in and around our "Quick's Coal" coal mine kit.

Quantity: Each bag holds 1/2 cup, or 53 grams of product.

#796, Campbell's Profile Ties in HO: These are our profile HO ties for straight or curved track. An instruction sheet is included. Their dimension is 3/64" high by 3/32" wide by 1-1/32" long. They are made to the prototypical dimensions of 4" wide by 8" tall by 8 scale feet long for HO gauge. Instead of an 8" by 8" tie, we reduce the thickness (height) so you use less ballast. 1000 ties per bag and will cover approximately 20 feet of track. #797, Turnout and Crossover Ties HO scale: For Turnouts and Crossovers these ties have the same heighth and width (HO prototypical 4 inches by 8 inches) but 27 scale feet long (3/64 x 3/32 x 3-47/64"). The instruction sheet includes templates for laying #4, #6, and #8 Turnouts and Crossovers in Standard Gauge and #6 in Narrow Gauge. 250 ties per bag and there are enough to build five to six average turnouts.

#798, Bridge & Trestle Ties: These bridge and trestle ties are prototypical 8 inches by 8 inches by 10 feet in length (3/32 x 3/32 x 1-3/8") and come 500 ties per bags. There are enough ties to cover over 5-1/2 feet of normal bridge or trestle decks.

#799, Narrow Gauge Ties: These are our narrow gauge HO ties and are 4 inches by 8 inches by 6 scale feet long (3/64 x 3/32 x 13/16"). 1000 ties per bag and will cover approximately 20 feet of track. Go to our Making a Tie Jig for tips on laying these ties.

#800, Profile Shingles 100ft roll in HO scale: The "Original" and we think, still the best. Each 100ft roll of our "Profile Shingles (#800)" covers an area approximately 9" by 12". They are gummed and include instructions and three ruled roof index cards to assure proper installation.
